A lot better than I expected it to be. It was a very hard film to watch, but a very effective one at that. I felt my stomach turning throughout and I couldn't help but feel bad for the characters in it.
It's a pretty grim story and actually feels as though it is based on a true story. I can understand why this never got a wide release. There are some pretty controversial elements here and I can see it getting banned in some places in the world.
All the performances here are pretty strong from what we see. Some of the shots don't give the actors the credit they deserve in some scenes so the editing is a bit flawed. Overall, this is one of the best films of 2008, and soemthing not to be missed for anyone who is a fan of the genre and doesn't mind tales of the tragic kind.
