Review of Gone with the Wind (1939) by Jackson W — 15 Jun 2013
Though as a fan of the book I like the novel better, this film is still undeniably flawless. Watching Gone with the Wind is exactly like everything you envisioned while reading Mitchell's classic from the humble beginnings of the Southern Plantation to the Ides of War following all the way to the last fatal scene between Scarlett and Rhett Butler.
Both of the leads were played extremely well by Gable and Leigh respectfully and fit their roles like a glove in their overall persona. Definitely a must see for moviegoers or those studying or a fan of the book.
