Review of Gone with the Wind (1939) by Bill G — 19 Dec 2018
The film starts out in Atlanta Georgia, this represents the south, slavery, the confederacy. A southern Belle is widowed and the auctioned off to a high bidder, this represents lust. There are slaves that take care of their every need, this shows us that they are very well to do.
The civil war begins and many men die, this shows us that men had to risk their lives for this war. Our southern belle struggles for food for a bit but then her new husband begins to take care of her, he is the breadwinner of the family.
They have 2 children, they are very blessed to have these new kin. The girl dies in a horse accident, this was a very unfortunate turn of events. The man leaves, he was fed up with his spouse. She vows to get him back, this shows us her love for him.
