Review of Gone with the Wind (1939) by Caleb L — 13 Nov 2013
A classic, that I felt ran on for a long time, some parts of the film had my attention, but most of the time, at least 3 hours of it, I was sighing and thinking "it's still going?" I recommend seeing the film at least once for its history and contribution to movies today.
The thing I disliked most was the character of Scarlett played by Vivien Leigh. Now her performance was very good, but the character was so arrogant and dislikable. I felt that this 1939 classic was deserving of its 10 oscar awards, including best picture, actress in a leading role, and director, but compared to movies we have today, I fell this is worth watching only if your trying to learn about early movie history, or just want to watch a bunch of classic movies.
