Review of Gone with the Wind (1939) by Unclewillard — 12 Mar 2019
5 for the cinematography, but that's it. Even as a white guy, I could care less about a privileged white woman moping about how her future is gone because of the Civil War. There's a certain amount of worship for the good ole days here and I don't care for it.
It's a dark time in American History that is far better told in documentary form, exposing the brutality of the Antebellum South rather than glorifying its culture. People that like this movie probably fight to keep the Confederate Flag in their states and those statues standing.
