Review of Gone with the Wind (1939) by Victor P — 19 Feb 2014
The film does not have the unanimous support of the critics. Neither film has an unconditional public support. And instead no longer be the most legendary film in the history of cinema. The short film drama, romance, adventure and war.
It is characterized by its trade orientation (Selznick sees it as a means to get important business opportunities), the impersonality of his style (there is no trace of any personal filmmaker), the love of magnificence (Selznick imprint), its uncritical sense (slaves are happy and faithful) and naive view of the Ku Klux Klan (doomed heroic association).
War gives a stark and tragic vision.
