Review of Gone Girl (2014) by Rogerdob — 08 Oct 2014
This film has more plot holes than any other film I have seen in a long while. Events transpire that are seemingly quite unlikely to happen. The story only moves forward because the writer wills it forward.
Ben Affleck gave an uninspiring performance...he was not acting...he was just being Ben Affleck. Neil Patrick Harris was badly miscast (due to his decision to publicize his lifestyle) as a heterosexual stalker.
The film could have edited out about 30-45 minutes of its 2 1/2 hours running time...there were many, many scenes that were unnecessary that did nothing to advance he story.
