Review of Gone Girl (2014) by Terence W — 17 Apr 2015
The most sexist movie I've seen in a long time. It's entertaining in a shallow sense, I suppose, as the narrative takes some nice twists and turns. But Amy is an awful character who does terrible things, and the movie NEVER gives a good reason as to why she does any of it (Hey, countless women have husbands who cheat on them, but they don't turn into psychopaths over it).
The movie seems to think that all women are cold-hearted witches, and I can't get behind a movie that supports that way of thinking.
