Review of Gomorrah (2008) by Andy O — 09 Jul 2010
Movie is almost documentary in its brutal matter-of-factness. Leaves one with the feeling of being hit repeatedly with a blunt instrument (as opposed to the guns favored by the movie's characters).
Much like the wonderful documentary "Manda Bala," we truly get to see how entrenched and widespread the effects of organized crime are. Think of famous American mob flicks, minus the romanticism.
Actually, the movie pokes a bit of fun at one of the most beloved ones ;).
