Review of Gomorrah (2008) by Bill B — 30 Dec 2009
I really dug this one, a slow and methodical look at the lives of those in and around the criminal syndicate that apparently runs Naples.
While there were bits I could take or leave, it was interesting that the criminal world seems to drift into all walks of life, from the poor living in cramped tenements to those working the garment industry, all the way to the dangers faced by a lowly middleman type who goes around paying monthly stipends to those who have gang members in jail.
Well worth a rental.
