Review of Goldfinger (1964) by Thomas P — 28 Jul 2012
Sets the standard for Bond films with the iconic Bond image, quotable lines, tongue in cheek hilarity, and larger than life settings and conflicts.
Brilliant.
Holds the sense of adventure, fun and thrills, especially with the villains who have a subtle camaraderie that absolutely enhances the experience.
Bond hits his stride here thru Connery, and with all the elements in full effect, I highly recommend anyone to start their journey into Bond with this slick, 'magnificent bastard' of a film - to quote Seinfeld.
Enjoy.
5 out of 5.
