Review of Gold Diggers of 1933 (1933) by Elana M — 15 Nov 2007
OH MY GOD. I watched this for a film theory class, and all I can remember is that there was a musical spectacle (I chose "spectacle" over "number" because Busby Berkeley's choreography is more on par with circus performances than it is with Annie-Get-Yer-Gun dance reviews) to a song called "Pettin' in the Park" that involved scantily clad women in dresses made of tin and men with GIGANTIC CAN OPENERS.
Seriously. Watch this movie.
