Review of Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla (2002) by Griffin J — 31 May 2013
This is a pretty weak installment. First of all, I really am a big fan of the original mechagodzilla, so I don't like seeing him as a good guy constantly. This is a millennium film, so the plot once again is a reboot to the series rather than having any real canon outside of the very first film.
The action scenes kinda bore me, and outside of one scene where MechaG loses control and goes haywire, the character is pretty dull this time around. Outside of looking cooler than the 90's version, there isn't much to say about him this time around.
The final fight is ok, but this is a weak installment in the otherwise excellent millennium series.
