Review of Godzilla (1998) by Heather M — 27 May 2014
At the turn of the century Hollywood made several movies playing on people's fear of the 'Millennium Bug'. This was one such 'effort'. Basically Americans misidentifying a nuclear mutated giant iguana as 'Godzilla' (it would late be retconned as another beast following this movies poor reception).
Starts well with a neat homage to the original but soon falls flat. A waste of money and talent - I don't think I have ever seen Jean Reno again!
