Review of God's Own Country (2017) by Stefano C — 06 May 2018
Let me be cynical for a second. One day in the future (hopefully soon, probably not that soon) we'll be all equal, and at that point we will have to judge these movies just like we judge hetero love stories. That time is not now though, so we still watch this movies under a different light. All this is just a thought, because I liked the film. What it starts like Brokeback Mountain evolves, touching more themes, and doing it with powerful images and a just enough dialogs.
Beats the manure out of "Call me by your name".
