Review of God's Not Dead (2014) by David H — 08 Apr 2015
Christian films still has a very long way to go. I was almost sold on the ridiculousness of this film, until the end, outside of the Newsboys concert. I won't go into detail to not spoil it much for you, but as a man is dying on the street- instead of the helpers calling for a doctor, they ask him if he knows Jesus and proceed to preach at him with rain falling on his face and about to die in complete pain.
That sounds like the worst way to go out. Afterward, the helpers rejoice in his death (because of his seemingly forced choice) while still standing on the street. Bizarro world. Meanwhile cut to happy Newsboys fans are having a great time inside.
Christians, don't be so stupid and unsympathetic when you make the sequel next year.
