I sat through this. I consider it to be an accomplishment to have done that. any movie that is 4 hours long needs to spend more time in the editting room or else be split into more parts. and it made me uneasy that I was supposed to sympathize as much as I was intended to with the leaders of the confederate army.

I know they were real people and all but they were fighting for something that deserved no sympathy.
