Haven't had this much musical fun at the cinemas since Moulin Rouge... this Aussie production certainly highlights the show(wo)manship and vocal talents of Laura Michelle Kelly, who totally outclassed pro Ronan, but most of all, it manages to nail the fact (once and for all) that if you want to embark on a movie musical, pick your leads from WestEnd/Broadway (boybands even), just not Hollywood.

This lighthearted family drama had its share of poignant moments and did bring tears to my eyes, both ways... the Little Mermaid parallels were simply hilarious too!
