Review of God Grew Tired of Us (2006) by Rae H — 06 Sep 2009
Absolutely riveting. To step into the shoes of a few Sudanese Lost Boys is something I never thought I would have the chance to see. One one hand, it was fascinating to see their adjustment to American culture.
On the other hand, it makes you wonder if the right move was to bring these boys to America. As if that solves everything. The movie does not necessarily pose many challenging questions, but rather leaves it up the viewer.
Very well done.
