Review of Give My Regards to Broad Street (1984) by Heather Y — 26 Aug 2008
The ego of Sir Paul McCartney presented on celluloid. The 'plot' is just an excuse to have Paul perform songs in a variety of settings. At the time he had re-acquired the rights to his Beatles back catalogue and this was his way of re-working the songs into a new production.
It's a REALLY bad film and I love it! It also turned me onto the music of Sir Paul,( who looks stoned throughout). He must have been on the wacky-baccy when he thought up this piece of crappola. Look out for the cameo from English wrestler Giant Haystacks, of all people!
