"Suck my Sinatra.".

This is actually a pretty damn good flick. It is a good pastiche of the 40s film noir nothing too smart or dumb, some humor, with a psycho arsonist and the obligatory Japanese girl with knives, a high body count, a hardboiled hero, a femme fatale, a decent enough plot, and all in all the time went by very fast indeed. Ving simply kicks ass in this noir thriller that's a tongue and cheek homage to the detective movies. Jane does a good job channeling his inner Humphrey Bogart and obviously having a blast doing it. A good fun supporting cast with French Stewart as a crooner lounge act playing at nursing homes. Doug Hutchison does what he does best the smart unstable psychopath. And Leland Orser whom I think is very underrated. The hottie Elsa Parker who is new to me did a wonderful job as deciving female. The action sequence are some of the best I've seen in a straight to dvd film in some time. If you like old detective stories and stylized violence this is for you. All in all, an uber violent and cool attempt with comic book sensibilities that fans of Sin City, Shoot 'Em Up, and Wanted will lap up.

Most Awesome Moment: The first 8 minutes.
