Review of Giant (1956) by Erica N — 05 Jun 2007
Probably the most politically relevant classic right now... OIL, MEXICANS, WAR AND DEVELOPMENT all in one film! A cross generational journey of a family in Texas featuring three of America's greatest actors: the Beautiful Liz Taylor, the very gay Rock Hudson (who tragically died prematurely of AIDS) and James Dean a great actor who could have been America's greatest actor.
It has everything, love triangles, war, riches, scenery, everything.- Oh and its based on a book by the same author who wrote Showboat.
