Review of Ghost in the Shell (1995) by Alvin Ian B — 04 Mar 2017
Watching it again before the live action adaptation comes out in March 2017, I still love this film. I love the opening sequence which shows it is a smart adult animated film: action, violence and nudity.
I love the music of Kenji Kawai. Of course, I love the philosophy, sense of isolation and search for identity. I love the soft Biblical influence that the director infused. I still love this film because it is one of the best that came out of 1990's Japanese animation.
