Review of Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999) by Sam R — 16 Apr 2008
Absolutely masterful piece of cinema. Jarmusch is one of the titans in cinema ttoday. His independent status deprives him of much of the credit he is truly owed. Whitaker gives what may be the performance of his career.
The film is very well honed, with gangsters, cartoons, and samurai teachings, it has a very interesting blend of ingredients. Truly one of the best films of our time.
