Review of Gettysburg (1993) by Nathan H — 27 Apr 2011

Those with a deep interest in History (especially the Civil War, of course) will enjoy this movie. Most others will find it far too long for their taste. Still, despite it's ridiculously long running time, there is very little waste here.

There are a few melodramatic or needlessly silly scenes, but, for the most part, it sticks to the battle itself. It culminates with an epic final sequence that truly captures the devastation of those three days.
