July 1-3 1863. general meade is trying to successfully keep the confederates under general lee out of maryland to destroy the Union. When a brigade of soldiers goes into gettysburg to find shoes , find themselves in a battle with union troops which then escalates into 3 days of warfare.
Great acting , great historical viewpoint , great battle scenes this movie is amazing.
