Review of Get Out (2017) by Bunni B — 14 Apr 2017
I was interested in what Jordan Peele described as his ideal horror movie, and his directorial and writing debut. I made a point to see it in theaters because I wanted to support a new film maker. But I had no idea what I was in for..
I'm on a touchscreen so I can't go all out, but this film- the writing, the acting, the audio and visual direction,, all of it- blew my mind. Daniel Kaluulya was great in Black Mirror and one of my favorite guys from Skins, but he killed it in Get Out. All the actors were great- even Allison Williams was convincing as Rose.
I left the movie speechless. When we got in the car, my partner and I looked at each other, shell shocked.
"I want to make a movie," I blurted out.
It was that kind of awesome. I dont wanna blow the plot, so take the fact that I typed up all this on a touch keyboard with chocolate smudged fingers as a showing of how much I want people to know it's great.
