Review of Gentleman's Agreement (1947) by Duncan G — 01 Aug 2007
This movie should be required viewing for everyone in schools. I've never heard a better description or seen a better representation of subtle discrimination. Too often people forget that Americans have a history of Anti-Semitism too.
This reminds everyone and does it in a way that makes everyone care. Keep in mind that it came out only two years following WWII. Scene-stealer: Gregory Peck's son crying after being called names.
Makes me tear up.
