Watch this if: You're game for watching a real-life heroine smash gender stereotypes.
Based on the true rivalry between tennis stars Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs, Battle of the Sexes had us fuming in one moment and cheering at the next. Oscar-winner Emma Stone brings vivacity to King's character, and we loved watching her do battle both on and off the court. At times nuanced and tender, at others dramatic and outrageous, Battle of the Sexes manages to be a crowd-pleaser while still serving up an important socio-political message that's rooted in the past but feels totally current.
