Review of The Post (2017) by Narrative M — 29 Aug 2018
Watch this if: You're compelled by true stories about politics and journalism.
The Post tells the dramatic true story of the Pentagon Papers and the ensuing legal battle between the U.S. government and the free press. Meryl Streep gives a nuanced yet powerful performance as Post publisher Katharine Graham. We especially loved watching her come into her own power as the first female publisher of a major American newspaper. Her performance, along with the movie's emphasis on justice and journalism, made The Post feel more relevant than ever.
Muser Tip: We highly suggest checking out Graham's Pulitzer Prize-winning memoir, Personal History.
