Review of Gattaca (1997) by Jonathan B — 16 Nov 2012
Great little sci-fi film with old school style and modern smarts that stands up quite well over a decade later. Niccol's strength has always been social commentary, often years before the issue hits the mainstream forum, and his examination of genetics as the new discrimination makes for a tantalizing backdrop.
Also noteworthy as Jude Law's American film debut.
