Gattaca is a great futuristic science-fiction film. It is definitely not the most happy and uplifting film, as it stays serious and somber almost the entire time, but it is wonderfully written and includes beautiful cinematography and great acting.

Film centers on Vincent Freeman, who was conceived outside the eugenics program and struggles to overcome genetic discrimination to realize his dream of traveling into space.

Vincent does not contain the genetics nor the class that would allow him to go to space. So he has to impersonate someone else while trying beat the system and make his dream of going into space a reality.

The look of this film is so unreal. Beautiful shots. Great chemistry between the actors. A very quiet score and peaceful. It might not be one that you would watch over and over but anytime you would like to look at what the future may hold for us, this is a film to watch.
