Review of Gaslight (1944) by Melody D — 30 Mar 2008
Wonderful movie. The only flaw is that you know if she's insane or not. it'd be better if not knowing would add to the suspense. Angela Lansbury, in her first film, does a splendid job as slutty maid Nancy.
She was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. All the performances were great except maybe Joseph Cotten's. It got on my nerves.
