Review of Gaslight (1944) by Darryl J — 04 Apr 2008
My grandmother urged me to see this and i'm glad she did. This is a wonderful psychological thriller that has a terrific performance by Ingrid Bergman. I liked how slow it was. It really put you in her head.
Another thing that helped was the design of the house. It was cluttered with paintings, mirrors, and knick knacks. there was barely any wall to see. I thought that really conveyed a sense of claustrophobia.
