Review of Garden State (2004) by Alice P — 03 Oct 2011
I disliked this film partly for personal reasons. Having seen someone on the kind of medication Zach Braff's character had been on for most of his life. I thought his reaction when coming off them wasn't extreme enough.
In fact I thought the film in general grappled with issues it didn't seem to be able to keep up with emotionally. Also when I normally like Natalie Portman I found her character annoying.
