Review of Gangster Squad (2013) by Jens S — 09 Aug 2015
While the characters remain a tad underdeveloped, it is still fun to watch them take on Sean Penn as brutal mobster in 1940s LA. The squad consists exclusively of great actors and that helps connect more than their somewhat superficial character traits.
The result is highly entertaining and offers plenty of action and style. That's more than enough for a pleasant movie night.
