Review of Gangster No. 1 (2000) by Ted S — 13 Mar 2008
I like this gritty East London Gangster version of Remembrance of Things Past. But the tension and drama fail to resolve themselves in an ending that sees McDowell flailing about Lear-like for no discernable (or credible) reason.
But the trip there is well worth taking -- if you like this sort of thing.
