Review of Gangs of New York (2002) by Brian R — 17 Jul 2012
It's a flawed film but in a way held my attention. If "Gangs Of New York" isn't a great film it has great performances, particularly from Daniel Day-Lewis and the film shows a great display of authentic historic set pieces.
GONY is Scorsese's dream project and although in recent interviews he sounded a bit unhappy with the final results but miraculously managed to make his vision happen.
