Review of Ganga (1960) by Will M — 16 Dec 2007
Fabulous English language dream of a movie. Yeah, it's difficult from our current political position to accept a movie that's set in India and doesn't take a firm stand against British colonial practices - but its refusal to de-complicate life (and politics inevitably de-complicates life) is why the film is so good.
Buy wine, call a friend, and rent it.
