Good rewatch:9/1/11: I really love this movie it reminds me of another fave-"black narcissus" maybe cos both r written by the same person or maybe cos theey're both in lavish technicolor! this is my fave renoir movie, the way he manages to both teach (about india & hinduism) and delight-the mixing and contrasts of both indian & english cultures.
