Such a great comedy, hilarious, with some excellent crime and action aspects! This film easily could have been awful, reminding me of Rough Night with Scarlett Johansson. I am so glad the crime and action elements flow so flawlessly into the comedy, and the fun story overall. This film is very entertaining and may end up being the breakout comedy of the year, this year's Girl's Trip; though I know it's far too early to say that definitively.
Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams, Billy Magnussen, Lamorne Morris, all comedic gold in this film. My favorite thing about the writing and directing in this film is that it doesn't rely on slapstick humor or fart jokes, but the chemistry between all of the actors playing couples. But this young man Jesse Plemons, he is a STAR here (as he generally is in all he does: Breaking Bad, Fargo, Black Mirror, every film he's in. I love deadpan humor and he brings it. He is so funny in this role, steals every scene he's in.
There are many twists and turns with this story as well, so please stay away from spoilers online. Trust me, you won't want these twists taken away from you before you see this film If you want a good time with some great laughs, go see this one!
