The McCain and Palin camp say this film was a smear job, although McCain is portrayed in a positive light and as a tragic figure. Steve Schmidt and other campaign insiders say the film was very accurate.

Regardless of whether the film is more fact or fiction, the end result is an engrossing film that is sharply written and filled with many fine performances. Woody Harrelson is particularly good as Steve Schmidt.

Any one who is inside what Bill Maher calls the Republican bubble will probably want to avoid this one.
