Review of Funny Games (1997) by Cole B — 08 May 2009
I found Haneke's original version (for he remade his own film a couple of years ago in English) to be a more engaging and frightening film than the remake even though the were nearly exactly the same.
The game changer, I think, is the acting were Muhe and and Frisch had much better performances than Roth or Corbet.
