It's a pity I watched the American remake before watching this foreign-language original, both versions are exactly shot-for-shot and the only differences are the mother tongue in which the dialogue is spoken and the cast members.

The power of this version was diluted by the fact I watch the remake, the original is much creepier and it makes a bigger point of the anti-Hollywood commentary it's trying to evoke. As I said in my review for the 2007 version: it's an awkward, uncomfortable watch, but a solid horror movie.
