Review of Funny Games (1997) by Jayakrishnan R — 30 Jan 2016
83%.
A brave attempt at doing something different. Is this violent? nah, I think far more violent films have been released since, but it's provocative. It could have been better had it portrayed the reaction of the parents, especially the mother in a more realistic way. It has some bad moments like that you see in No Country for old men where they don't show you some crucial character deaths. Aside from that, Funny games is great.
