Review of Frozen River (2008) by Burcu S — 12 Mar 2009
A film that focuses largely on the desperation surrounding poverty in the modern world. Leo's performance is heartfelt and encapsulates the feeling of the picture as a whole. Most notable is the partnership between the two leading ladies which demonstrates how the line between right and wrong, neccesity and need can be just as thin as the ice on the frozen river.
