This film was made for someone like me: it was character driven with just enough plot to maintain good pacing (unlike in "Wendy and Lucy"). The cast was amazing, including the snow and ice! Some plot elements were a little cliche (e.
G. harried mom misses christmas but wise teen comes through at the last minute for his kid brother), but the mom in me enjoyed the bond between the two female leads over their love for children, and over their inadequacies as mothers.
