Review of Frontier(s) (2007) by Ronnie B — 07 Jul 2008
This French shocker is better than I was expecting it to be but at tha same I couldn't help but feel that I'd had seen it all before and done with more style and panache in various other movies.
Frontier(s) comes across as Texas Chainsaw meets Hostel with an added Nazi element reminiscent maybe of the 70's and 80's gore and exploitation movies. However there is enough bloodletting and violent moments to satisfy any horror fan along with a dark, gritty and disturbing atmosphere, still not a patch on the far superior Switchblade Romance though.
