Johnny Depp and Robbie Coltrane are excellent in this re-telling of the Jack the Ripper tale taken from a graphic novel and turned into flesh and blood by the Hughes brothers. It is clever and will hold your interest.
It is a good looking film and you will care about the characters right to their individual ends. Ian Holm is excellent and Heather Graham is the prettiest prostitute you would ever find in a Victorian backstreet.
