From Hell is a tad bit of a disappointment. I expected more actually. This film is elevated by fine performances and a not so bad direction from the Hughes brothers. But when compared with the directors film The Book of Eli, this film is a bit of a disappointment. This is a mystery film specifically, not a horror film and it should have been more suspense full, but it takes a turn towards the end and becomes dramatic which dampens the pace of the film.
